Yashada and Gokhale Institute sign an MoU on research and academic collaboration

The Yashwantrao Chavan Academy of Development Administration (Yashada) and the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to carry out new academic and research initiatives in collaboration. 

The two institutions will actively collaborate in setting up a new Master of Public Policy program, which will be primarily aimed at training mid-career civil services officers. In addition, they will jointly take up research projects in economic policy, public finance, and monitoring and evaluation of government schemes. The MoU will come into force on 6 July 2022, at Yashada, Pune.

Dean Bharat Bhushan, and faculty member Pradnya Dasarwar from Yashada were also present. Yashada’s registrar Mangesh Joshi and Gokhale Institute’s officiating registrar Prabhash Rath signed the official document.

Yashada, Pune is the apex administrative training institute of the Government of Maharashtra. It imparts training to the new and existing officers in the government, and it has several functioning institutes and centres of research and training under its purview.
