The Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics is one of the oldest research institutes in the country established in 1930 under the aegis of the Servants of India Society. The Institute is widely recognized as an advanced Centre for Research in Economics and allied subjects in the country.
The University Grants Commission, New Delhi (UGC) vide its notification no. F.6-4/89(CPP/Desk-C/CPP-I) dated 9-5-1993 has declared the Institute as a Deemed to be University u/s 3 of the UGC Act 1956. The Institute is seeking applications from eligible candidates for the following Non-teaching positions for its Agro-Economic Research Centre funded by the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, New -Delhi.

1. RESEARCH INVESTIGATOR – 1 Post (OBC)
Minimum Qualifications:
(i) Master’s Degree in Economics/Econometrics/Agricultural Economics/Statistics/Agricultural Statistics/ from any Indian University or Foreign University.
(ii) Minimum 55% marks in academic records.
Experience: Minimum two years’ experience in conducting research surveys, field surveys and data collection. Candidates should be willing to work/stay in rural areas.
Desirable Qualifications: Experience in qualitative data analysis, expertise in data management software and tools, good oral and written communications skills and ability to co-ordinate multi-member and multi-site teams. Candidates should be computer literate with good working knowledge of MS Office packages (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access etc.).
Pay Scale: Level S-14 as per 7 th Pay Commission.

2. RESEARCH FELLOW – 1 Post (OPEN)
Minimum Qualifications:
(i) Master’s Degree in Economics/Econometrics/Agricultural Economics/Statistics/Agricultural Statistics/ from any Indian University or Foreign University.
(ii) Minimum 55% marks in academic records

Consolidated Pay: Rs. 25,000/- per month plus H.R.A.
